Winner of Kingsley Tufts Poetrt Award

Timothy Donnelly has been named the recipient of the annual Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award.  The Tufts poetry award is the largest monetary award given for poetry, $100,000. The intention of the award is to give working poets the monetary means to work at their craft without financial strain. The award is given via the Claremont Graduate University School of Arts & Humanities.

Mr. Donnelly is on the faculty of the Writing Program at Columbia University’s School of the Arts, and has been poetry editor of the Boston Review. His work has appeared in numerous publications such as Harper’s, The Iowa Review, The Nation, The New Republic and The Paris Review.

The award was presented for Donnelly’s work, The Cloud Corporation. It is his second book.
